Amar Karma Organ Donation Society’ Successfully Sprung in B.C

The spring has almost sprung in most of Canada, and young fanatics of Amar Karma have made it to the West Coast with their flourished appetite of turning the world green.

The passion knows no limits, and so does the group of youth- Amar Karma. The society that started in 2011 in Brampton with one pioneer, Loveen Kaur Gill, is now a large group, massively expanding with youngsters joining in from every corner of the nation.

Jasbir Gill, Manager of Amar Karma B.C., liver recipient from Surrey, has been advocating organ donation from years, joined the green team of Amar Karma, “I’m grateful for what I got, and this is the only way to give back.” Jasbir Gill said at the launch event of Amar Karma on April 19, 2014.

Amar Kama’s B.C wing was launched at Khalsa Parade held in Surrey B.C, was attended by over 200, 000 Sikh devotees. Many people came by the booth, which was decorated in green to sign up to be organ donors and to get information. The Green theme of the team was well covered by the mainstream media CBC and Omni TV along with the local news.

Jag Gill, on the waiting list for liver said, “I am pleased to have Amar Karma here in B.C., now we have the green here as well. I have been observing the work Amar Karma does for a long time, and waited for it to start here.”

At this time the members of Global Girl Power, an organization designated to empower girls, not only came by to register to be organ donors but also endorsed the support of the green for upcoming events in B.C.

The team displayed distinctive pride in their mission to turn the world green.
